Diego

I’m a complete sucker for older dogs. They get so much nobler and mellower as they age and I love the way ones with darker fur mask as they gray. I met a nice old fellow named Diego last weekend on a shoot for veterinarian starting a house-call business here in San Francisco. Diego is a shepherd-greyhound mix and as you’ll see from the shots below he’s just lovely.

I love older dogs too! There’s something so regal and mellow about them. You did a fantastic job capturing Diego.

He’s such an interesting mix. GSD & Greyhound. Haven’t seen that before. Anyway…I LOVED San Francisco. You live and work in a great city.

I’m a sucker for older dogs too, and that 2nd to last shot of Diego is just stunning. What beautiful coloring on that handsome fellow.

I have a greyhound/shepherd mix also…he’s a completely different color than this guy though. He is 17 years old. And Mark, believe me, if I lived closer to Cali and had the money I would hire you in an instant to photograph my best friend. Your work is amazing.

Thanks for the comment, Denise. I just love both of these breeds independently and when you combine them like this it’s the best of both worlds x2:a really fast, really smart, really neurotic dog. Appreciate your stopping by the blog…
