Is that bunny grumpy?

Posted on 06. Nov, 2008 by Mark in Pet Food Express My Mutt, Rescue Groups, client sneak peeks

I’ve photographed a lot of rabbits this year — more rabbits than cats as a matter of fact. Maybe I was just getting cocky but I actually thought I was starting to get a handle on them… at least until I ran into Sterling last weekend.

Sterling is lovely gray rabbit rescued through Save a Bunny who lives in a really cool loft in downtown San Francisco with a Portuguese Water Dog. The shoot started out fine and Sterling did some fairly cute poses with minimal intervention and coaxing. However, after about 10 minutes I could swear she was actually starting to scowl at me. By the end I fairly sure she was downright grumpy. Now, to be fair, it was a rainy afternoon, her mom did say that she preferred mornings and it’s entirely possible I’m being way to sensitive about the whole thing.

I don’t know. What does everyone else think? Evidence below?

Sterling, I’ll be happy to come back on a sunny day if you’d prefer….

Not sure I like you shooting while I eat

Is it just me or is he raising his eyebrow?

See, both eyebrows look cocked to me? …and there’s that glint in his eyeglaring bunny

I don’t know if bunnies can glare but in my world we call that giving the hairy eyeball
