The Mighty Moxie

Posted on 25. Nov, 2008 by Mark in Dogs, client sneak peeks

Over the weekend I had the chance to photograph a great little dog named Moxie — a cute dachshund- chihuahua mix. Moxie was adopted from the San Francisco SPCA a couple of years ago by one of the founders of Dogster, the social networking site that I host a weekly photo caption contest for every week. We had a really fun session that ended up in a great Potrero Hill park in where we wrapped things up with some action shots, including a non-intended run-in with a stick you’ll see below.

    Mark,
The “stick” portrait of Moxie is to-die-for. And your shots of the Labs and Frenchie at Ft. Funston tug at my heart and make me miss our Yellow Lab/wolf mix Augustus and his companion, my angel baby, our Akita/Chow mix Kuma. Two terrific shoots. You must adore your profession!

    Happy Harvest.

We adopted Nov 1, 2009 and our little angel was one of six in a liter that was left and the dog catch picked them up. I don’t know why god sent me to her but she is so great and looks like Moxie … I also adopted her sister but lost them to parvo.
I am so glad to see this picture I just wonder what breed she really is often. I drove 4 hours to the shelter when I got them and lord only knows what made me do that. Some people say I am crazy and some say we need more people like me…who knows! But my Belle was worth every tear, all the meds, all the vet bills, and the time. Adoptions is so great!!
