Soda Pops!

Posted on 04. Mar, 2009 by Mark in Bird Photographs, client sneak peeks

I photographed my first Moluccan Cockatoo last weekend — a beautiful bird named Soda who shares a home with two shih tzus and three cats (all is peaceful, no worries). Soda also happens to be an Animal Assisted Therapy bird with the San Francisco SPCA’s AAT program so this will not be the last time you see her gracing this blog — the plan is to see her in AAT action soon. Soda is salmon colored but her hue shifts pretty radically depending on the light quality — sometimes she’s a warm white, other times pink, sometimes even orange. However, when she really gets going and raises her crest, thats when the chromatic fireworks start.

Stay tuned for future posts on the rest of Soda’s menagerie but, for now, this post is hers and hers alone. Soda, you’re a star…
