Dogs in Paradise
Posted on 11. Mar, 2009 by Mark in Dogs, client sneak peeks
I ventured down south to Morgan Hill for the very first time last week for a session that was purchased as a holiday gift. The area is beautiful with lots of rolling green hills, open land and horses. The two dogs I photographed–Louve and Ovid–are the classic odd couple. Louve is a big, beautiful Akita who pretends to be stoic and somewhat grumpy but is really sweet and loving when you get to know her. Ovid is a Taiwanese rescue dog (like Foxy from a few months ago) that might have some chow and Basenji in him but that’s really anyone’s best guess. Ovid is a high-energy, extremely happy dog with a great smile who loves chasing tennis balls. The dogs love each other and boy did they land in doggy paradise. Lots of room to run and tons of smelly things to roll in.
After I photographed the pups I spent some time with the 5 horses they share the land with — you’ll see those shots in a subsequent post. For now, meet Ovid and Louve
