The Mighty Max

Posted on 26. May, 2009 by Mark in Dogs, client sneak peeks

Last week I photographed a Goldendoodle named Max down at Stern Grove in San Francisco (one of the better-kept dog park secrets in SF as a gift from a friend of the owners.

Max definitely got the Golden part of the retreiver — he’s has a gorgeous coat and loves to play– but I think the retrieving part (or at least the bringing-the-stick-back-to-the-thrower component) may be recessive.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Enjoy your sneak peak, Max.

Indeed it is. I keep thinking the word “akimbo” is really apropos for that one.

What a funky breed! Had a Golden, but never heard of this one. May have to do some research. You’re certainly “selling” it, Mr. Rogers.

The action shots with the crazy ears are the best – how big do these dogs get?

I think the size for these dogs is all over the map depending on the parents. This site seems pretty authoritative on the subject, though. Says up to 100 pounds
