Jeeves: A Terrier At Dolores Park

Jeeves: A Terrier At Dolores Park

Posted on 07. Aug, 2009 by Mark in Dogs, Pet Food Express My Mutt, client sneak peeks

I’ve been waiting a long time to photograph Jeeves for a My Mutt poster. I’ve met him before because his mom actually works at Pet Food Express and is the person there who lets me know about each new My Mutt assignment — I guess if this were CIA work she’d be considered my handler.

We met for Jeeves’s shoot at Dolores Park in San Francisco’s Mission District on a glorious late Sunday afternoon A few weeks ago and he did not disappoint. He’s a really fun and peppy terrier mix (redundant, I know) with a great personality. He’s constantly shifting between this sort of reflective-intense-serious Jeeves and a high-energy-playful-goofball Jeeves (terrier people will know where I’m coming from because we all live with this 24/7)

Jeeves, your poster pick awaits you…

If I didn’t live on the other side of the country, Jeeves would be in danger of being dognapped! (Just kidding). He’s absolutely wonderful.

Jeeves often gets dognapping threats from folks who meet him for the first time. He’s pretty damn cute

Mark – you have truly captured the essence of my boy. Every image is the perfect reflection of him and we are going to have a hard time trying to make the final decision.

Jeeves is my grandson and he rules my world on a sunny day. Your sneak peaks are delightful and your eyes remind me of the Summer of ’42. Love, Grandma.

Jeeves looks like a version of my Minnie. Everyone wants to know what kind of a dog she is so we came up with a rough-coated Caloosahachee possum terrier. People actually believe that is a dog breed and told me they’ve seen pictures but never one in person. Maybe they saw Jeeves?

Very nice! The way you captured this dog’s two personas is really great–(I’m a serious man…I’m a silly boy.) :) And those eyes! You made me fall in love with Jeeves. I wish you were on the East Coast so you could photograph my dog. Great job!!
