The other day I mentioned that I hadn’t photographed many cats lately. Well, someone must have heard me because I’ve had multiple kitty shoots in the last couple of weeks (lots of dachshunds, too — but that’s another story). I met Julio and Peppino the week before last down at their home in Palo Alto where we did their session for an upcoming My Mutt Poster. They were rescued through one of my favorite groups – Nine Lives Foundation. Peppino took a little while to warm up to me but after some coaxing and a little food bribery he came out to perform. Julia’s a natural and needed no coaxing. Enjoy your sneak peak, guys…

I actually never get inquiries to photograph cats. I have a coworker who would like me to photograph her cat, but her cat is afraid of her shadow so I don’t think my camera will be to welcome. These are great photographs.
