Sierra the Shetland Sheepdog
Posted on 28. Sep, 2009 by Mark in Dogs, client sneak peeks
I’ve always had a soft spot for Shelties — there was one that lived in my neighborhood growing up and she was always really nice with kids. Last weekend I met with a lovely Sheltie named Sierra at Stern Grove. Sierra was a little camera shy at first but warmed up quickly and we ended up with lots of great shots, including several of her movie-star smile. Enjoy your sneak peak, Sierra.

“Smiling” and “repose” are my pix…of your pix. I always wondered about this breed’s nickname. Shouldn’t a Shetland sheepdog be called a “Shetlie?”

I had a sheltie when I was a kid and last month I photographed a Sheltie play date and it brought back so many memories. I love the breed. I was with at least 15 dogs and they all had such distinct personalities and were scary smart! The puppies were the best

I fell for Shelties after having a neighbor with one. We added Scout to our family 5 years ago and he is the most beautiful, smart and sweet dog I have ever had. He could be Sierra’s brother. We added Princess to the family last Christmas. Shelties are the only dog I will ever have. Love their unique personalities.
