Keta – A Dog and Her Boy
Posted on 05. Oct, 2009 by Mark in Dogs, client sneak peeks
I love my job. Not only do I get to hang out with people who absolutely adore their pets but I get to capture that relationship for them. I’m reminded of that on virtually every shoot but, in certain cases, I’m really struck by how truly lucky I am to be able to do what I do. I had a session last week that made me think a lot about this. I was up in Portland, Oregon visiting family but got in touch with an old high school buddy (sorry, Ted, we really are getting old) who wanted to get some good shots of his 12-year old Rhodesian Ridgeback-Pitbull mix, Keta.
We met up at Keta’s home and then made our way to one of Portland’s many local parks for some outdoor shots. I won’t get into it too much here (the shots speak for themselves) but every time I saw my friend and his dog in frame there was an overwhelming sense of the extraordinary bond we share with our companion animals. Keta and Ted, enjoy your sneak peek.
