Sierra the Spitz-Shepherd Mix

It’s not often I photograph two dogs with the same name so close together but there were indeed two Sierra’s on my list in the last few weeks. The first posted week before last was a spry Sheltie we’ll call her Sierra the Younger. My second Sierra is a gorgeous, older Spitz-Shepherd mix who has aged very gracefully with barely a spot of grey to show for her 13 years. Sierra and her owner came to my outdoor studio last week and although we were a little concerned at first she wouldn’t relax and smile for the camera it turns out we needn’t have worried: she has one of the nicest dog smiles I’ve seen in a while.
