Nikki and Sergei: Oh Borzoi!

I’ve photographed a lot of sight hounds in my day but, until last week, never a Borzoi. I had the pleasure of meeting Nikki and Sergei down in Burlingame for a session and have to say I am now officially a huge fan. The goal of the shoot was to try to get at least one shot of them together for a project their people parents are working on. Generally, with large, fast-moving dogs group shots can be a bit of a challenge but in this case it was actually the opposite — I hardly got any photos of them apart at all. They were almost always together. And talk about elegant — wait ’til you see these guys. Nikki and Sergei, enjoy your sneak peek. Your mom and dad should be proud.

What gorgeous dogs. As an owner of two Italian Greyhounds, I have a soft soft for sight hounds. We rarely see Borzoi’s in Australia, so these photos are a real treat. Thanks for sharing!!
