Maya

This first part of January I’ve been shooting a lot of gift certificate sessions (presents given over the holidays). My first one was with a lovely lady named Maya who lives out by Ocean Beach with her mom and dad. Maya’s a senior German Shepherd mix with soft brown eyes and a smile that never quits.     What a beautiful girl! I have a soft spot for senior dogs myself, having been dog-mom to Tasha from the age of about 8 to her death at nearly 18. She also spent most of her time smiling, and taught me how to age gracefully: keep moving, keep smiling, and expect every outstretched hand to have a treat in it for you.

    You’ve captured the sense of contentment and love shared within this family beautifully. Absolute perfection, as always, Mr. Rogers.
