About Me
Greetings. I’m Mark Rogers, a professional pet photographer based in San Francisco where I live with my two best friends: an extremely tolerant and caring wife who encourages and supports me in this awesome, crazy career and a highly energetic and industrious little Corgi-Jack Russell mix named Bizzy.
I got my start in pet photography 8 years ago when I began photographing protective custody dogs in the Give a Dog a Bone (GADAB) program based out of San Francisco’s municipal animal shelter and began doing it professionally in 2006.
My style is very contempory and candid — I focus on capturing each pet’s individuality and uniqueness with a few dashes of humor and action thrown in for good measure. When you see results of your pet’s session you can be guaranteed three things: you’ll laugh, you’ll have a very hard time picking your favorite shot, and you’ll have a permanent record of your furry best friend (and you) having a great time.
My work has appeared in the award-winning San Francisco SPCA magazine, Our Animals, and has been published in a number of books. I’m also a photographer for the popular Pet Food Express My Mutt Program and I run a popular weekly photo caption contest on Dogster’s For the Love of Dog blog.
