I few weeks ago I’d been thinking that  it had  been a while since I’d used my outdoor studio and then,  bam, two shoots the same week. The first was with a beautiful, sweet 8 month-old Goldendoodle named Luke. Luke is jet black with amazing henna highlights and a very mellow, low-key temperament. He adores his mom and hangs by her in new surroundings. This was his first shoot but I think the talent agents may be gathering after they see how he did.

Other times, such as in my recent session with two lovely pitbulls named Karma and Macy Addison, it takes a little longer. Karma and Macy came to my outdoor studio for a My Mutt poster session in honor of Bad Rap (Bay Area Dog Owners Responsible About Pit Bulls). The individual shots were a snap but coercing the two to stay still while next to each other while looking at the camera took a lot of treats and serious  pleading from me and their mom. Meet Louis, the cutest little Maltese you’ve ever seen. Louis’s dad came over to my outdoor studio last weekend to hold a session for Louis’s mom who’s overseas for a while and misses the little guy. At 4 pounds, Louis is a petite guy but he acts much larger and explored the yard bravely and thoroughly. Enjoy your sneak peak, Louis. I think your mom will like these.
