My latest My Mutt poster shoot took me to Novato where I met Buddy, an extremely happy and exuberant white Labrador who lives at a place with a giant uphill backyard that is just perfectly designer for tiring out even the most energetic pup. Buddy’s poster was donated in the name of the Marin Humane Society and will hang soon at the Novato Pet Food Express. Some pet names just fit perfectly and Buddy, a sweet little pitbull I photographed last weekend, is a case in point. Buddy is the kind of a guy you just want to hang out with. He likes sticking close and he’s a big foot sitter–resting his rump on your shoes, generally while holding one of his toys and grunting. What’s not to love? You gotta love a dog named Buddy — especially a puppy named Buddy. I met this cute little guy and his larger housemate, Raider, over in Livermore this week for a holiday session. Buddy’s the guy in antlers — Raider went with Santa. We ended up taking Buddy out for a little play session in the neighborhood park afterwards and found out he’s definitely a stick guy. He also came through with a classic pitbull grin shot that I was lucky enough to be there for. You go, Buddy.
