It’s been a while since I worked with a puppy so it was great to spend some time with cute little gal named Olive up in Novato last week. Olive was rescued through Rocket Dog Rescue and now lives with a maltese-poodle mix named Paco (along with some donkeys). It poured the day of the shoot so we kept things inside but managed to find a nicely lit room and a rug that complimented Olive’s coat and made do.

Maybe once the weather clears I’ll get a chance to visit Olive again, see how she’s growing into her paws and get some shots of her romping around outside.

Nothing can brighten your day more than rolling around in the grass with a cute puppy (is there any other kind?) On Sunday I had the chance to roll around with an adorable little Chihuahua-Dachshund mix named Olive who came to my outdoor studio for her first professonal pet photography session. She handled it like a complete and utter pro and I have a feeling this won’t be the last time she gets in front of a camera. Olive, I can’t wait to meet you again when you’re older.
