I’m pleased to announce that I’ve been voted the San Francisco Bay Area’s Best Pet Photographer for the second year in a row on SFGate’s Bay List. I’m thrilled to have won this award again in 2010 but truly honored and humbled by the outpouring of support and votes from all my loyal customers, fans, friends and family who really made it happen.

Animal Welfare Photos on SF Chronicle Blog

A few weeks ago Amelia Glynn, the San Francisco Chronicle /SFGate.com pet blogger asked if I’d be interested in working with her on a series about local Animal Welfare groups here in Northern California. The first piece, one on Nine Lives Foundation, ran two weeks ago and the second one on Muttville got posted just today. It’s a great article and really gets to the heart of Muttville and it’s founder, Sherri Franklin. For those of you who don’t know Muttville, it’s a non profit here in San Francisco dedicated to finding homes for senior dogs. You can see a few shots below or check out all of them in this gallery

What a pleasant surprise I had today. Amelia Glynn, The pet blogger for SFGate (the online arm of The San Francisco Chronicle), ran a profile on yours truly on Tails of the City — I’d almost forgotten we’d chatted back in December.

Maybe next time she can interview the Biz as well.

Nominated as Best Pet Photographer in the San Francisco Bay Area

Wow. Ever have one of those days where something completely unexpected happens? A few days ago I got an email from a friend congratulating me on my recent nomination. Since the Democratic and Republican Conventions are both over I knew I hadn’t been tapped by Obama or McCain as a potential second in command but I honestly didn’t have a clue what she was talking about.

Turns out our local paper here in San Francisco, The Chronicle, has put together something they’re calling the Baylist that features the best local businesses in a variety of categories and they’re running a contest in each one to pick the top player.

Apparently, I’m one of the nominees for San Francisco Bay Area Pet Photography and I really couldn’t be more humbled or surprised – especially by the multitude of thoughtful reviews posted by my clients and fans. It’s one of those things that just makes you feel exceedingly lucky that you’ve found your dream job and honestly enjoy what you do.

For those of you who’ve voted already I truly thank you. It means more than you know. For anyone who hasn’t and is so inclined I’d be honored to get your vote. (note: if you do vote make sure you both write something and select a star review, otherwise it won’t count)
