Meet Mark, your Burlingame Pet Photographer

If your pet could book their own photoshoot, they’d probably demand gourmet treats, belly rubs on cue, and a location that makes them look fabulous. Luckily, I can help with at least one of those things! I’m Mark Rogers, a Bay Area pet photographer specializing in capturing the unique personalities of dogs, cats, and the occasional camera-loving rabbit. I also happen to love shooting in Burlingame (a.k.a The City of Trees).

Burlingame is packed with picture-perfect spots for your pet’s big moment. Whether it’s exploring the scenic trails of Mills Canyon Park, striking a pose in the lush gardens of Washington Park, or showing off their best “sit and stay” in the open fields of Ray Park, there’s a setting to match every pet’s vibe. More of a city dog? A stroll down Burlingame or Broadway Avenue might be the perfect fit—especially if they enjoy soaking up attention from passersby. Prefer a more polished indoor look? My San Francisco studio is always an option.

Every session is fun, relaxed, and tailored to your pet’s personality. Whether they’re a total goofball or a little more reserved, we’ll capture the moments that make them them. Reach out today, and let’s start planning your Burlingame Dog and Pet Photography session!

Mark has done about five photo shoots for our family (and our family includes our gaggle of dogs and cats), and each time it has been a joy. I can’t believe the patience he has for getting the perfect shot.

Aside from Mark’s obvious talents, he deeply cares about what he is doing and about the quality of his work.

Frequently Asked Questions

That’s completely normal! Most pets aren’t professional models, and that’s okay. I’ve got plenty of tricks—treats, squeaky toys, and silly noises—to help them relax. The best photos often come from letting them be themselves.

Burlingame has plenty of fantastic locations for dog and pet photography, depending on the vibe you’re looking for! Washington Park is a local favorite, with trees and charming pathways, while Cuernavaca Park provides a quieter, more intimate green space. If you want waterfront views, the Burlingame Shoreline Park is a great choice, offering scenic bay backdrops and plenty of open space for action shots. For something a little different, Broadway Avenue has colorful storefronts and a fun, small-town feel that works well for an urban-style shoot. And of course, if your pet is happiest at home, we can always capture their personality in their own space!

The best lighting happens during golden hour— in the morning right around sunrise or in the evening before sunset. I generally schedule outdoor photo sessions in the late afternoon. If it’s overcast we can shoot anytime.

A session outside San Francisco is $340, which includes a $50 travel fee for gas, tolls, and travel time to your location. If you’re up for meeting in SF, the booking fee is $290. This covers the session itself along with all the planning and prep. Digital images and wall art are available separately.

Of course! The session includes up to two pets and two people. If you have a larger crew, there’s an extra $50 per additional pet or person. I’ve worked with big pet families before, so don’t worry—we’ll make it work

Pack your pet’s favorite treats, toys, and any cute accessories you’d like to feature, like a stylish collar or bandana. If they have a favorite blanket or water bowl, feel free to bring those, too. A comfy pet equals great photos!

Most sessions include up to two pets and two people. If you have additional pets (or people) you’d like to include, it’s $50 per extra subject. I’ve done shoots with large groups of animals before—it just takes a little extra planning…and treats!
