Hello, I’m Mark

I’m Mark Rogers, an SF Bay Area pet photographer specializing in turning play bows and meows into frame-worthy memories. Daly City is one of my favorite places for pet photoshoots and has no shortage of spectacular scenery. Each session is relaxed, fun, and focused on making your pet feel comfortable and like a small celebrity. It doesn’t matter if they’re they’re bouncing with energy or calmly judging us all I’ll capture the little moments and quirks that make them who they are and remind you how much they mean to you.

Madina – Daly City, CA

What an amazing experience it was! My dog is stubborn, super energetic, not very friendly with strangers. Mark managed not only turn all this around and change his behaviour but take incredible shots. Mind you he was working hard for two hours straight at our home trying to catch best moments. Thank you very much, Mark

Ryan – Daly City, CA

The thing that impressed me most about Mark was that he took his time to get just the right shot of our two cats, Peanut and Coconut. He spent over an hour, crawling on our floor to get just the right shots of our cats.
We would recommend him to anyone looking for a good pet photographer. Thanks, Mark!

My Favorite Pet Photography Spots in & around Daly City

Daly City has a mix of coastal views, quiet parks, and open spaces that make it a great place to photograph pets. From breezy overlooks to tucked-away trails there’s no shortage of pet photoshoot locations. I’m always open to finding more so if you have a favorite let me know! Here are a few places I often recommend for sessions.

Thornton State Beach

I call it Quiet Fort Funston. Tucked between bluffs and sea and just south of the always-crowded Funston, Thornton State Beach is great for sunset sessions (and a fun hike). It’s quiet, moody, and full of texture—ideal for dogs who love a little off-leash freedom and photographers who love golden hour drama.

Hillside Park

A neighborhood park with big personality, Hillside Park has open lawns, tree-lined paths and just enough elevation for a view. It’s low-key, local, and a great fit for dogs who prefer squirrels over crowds (kidding). Simple, sweet, and photogenic..

Mussel Rock Park

Epic cliffs, sweeping ocean views and windblown fur—Mussel Rock brings serious scenery to your pet portraits. It’s perfect for adventurous pups and those who love to strike a pose with the Pacific as their backdrop. Bonus: In springtime the hills pop with bright purple and red iceplant blooms.

San Francisco

I know, obviously not in Daly City but right next door and full of amazing locations. Golden Gate Park and Stern Grove are both close by and each have numerous spots for fantastic pet photography. There’s also the new Sunset Dunes Park along the old Great Highway

Frequently Asked Questions

The session fee in Daly City is $290, same as for San Francisco. That covers the shoot itself plus all the behind-the-scenes magic—session prep, planning, and location scoping. Prints and digitals are sold separately.

Daly City might be the fog capital of the Peninsula, but it’s got some seriously photogenic locations. Mussel Rock Park has dramatic cliffs, ocean views, and if it’s the right time of year the hills are bursting with iceplant blooms. Gellert Park offers wide open space, trees, and spots for zoomies with a view.

Want something a little more urban? The colorful murals near Mission Street add serious flair.

Or hey, if your pet prefers the royal treatment at home we can do the shoot there.

Oh, you’re definitely invited to your own pet’s photoshoot. Whether you want a casual cuddle shot or a polished portrait together, I love capturing the connection between pets and their humans.

Perfect! I specialize in working with pets who couldn’t care less about sitting still. Treats, squeaky toys, and my award-winning cat and goat impressions usually do the trick. Honestly, some of the best photos happen when your pet is just doing their thing—chaos, drool, and all.

Totally fine. Daly City weather is like a mystery box, so reschedules are part of the deal. If they don’t feel well or are having an off day there’s one reschedule allowed.

Yes! Think of it like packing for a pet picnic. Bring your pet’s favorite treats, toys, water, and any accessories you want in the photos. It will look best if collars and toys are on the newish side but sometimes that 10-year old sock monkey with one ear will just have to do.

Most sessions include up to two pets and two people. If you have additional pets (or people) you’d like to include, it’s $50 per extra subject. I’ve done shoots with large groups of animals before—it just takes a little extra planning…and treats!
