While I can’t promise the first two (though I do bring plenty of snacks), I can definitely deliver on the third—especially in Sausalito, one of the regions most picturesque spots for a photoshoot! Greetings, I’m Mark Rogers, an S.F. Bay Area pet photographer specializing in capturing the unique personalities of dogs, cats, and the occasional camera-loving parrot.

Sausalito is filled with stunning outdoor locations that look straight out of a postcard. From scenic waterfront views to charming marinas and lush hillside trails, there’s no shortage of breathtaking backdrops for a photoshoot. I’ve shot at many of them, but there’s always something new to discover—so if you have a favorite hidden gem, I’d love to hear about it! Here are some of my go-to spots for sessions.
Dunphy Park
A treasure in Sausalito, Dunphy Park offers a perfect blend of open green space and stunning bay views. With its grassy fields, charming shoreline, and scenic backdrop of bobbing sailboats, it’s an ideal spot for a pet photoshoot. Whether your pup loves to romp in the grass or strike a pose by the gazebo, the peaceful beauty of this park creates a picture-perfect setting.
Downtown & Vina Del Mar Park
Bustling with charm and scenic beauty, Downtown Sausalito offers a vibrant mix of waterfront views, colorful storefronts, and inviting walkways perfect for a pet photoshoot. Stroll along Bridgeway for stunning bay backdrops, capture playful moments by the Del Mar Park greenery, or let your pup pose by the elegant fountain for a classic Sausalito shot.
Marinas
Sausalito’s marinas are a perfect blend of nautical charm and breathtaking bay views, making them a fantastic spot for dog and pet photography. With sailboats swaying in the background and sun-drenched docks to explore, your pup can channel their inner sea captain—or at least look the part.
Marin Headlands

Pricing
Session Fee
$290 for San Francisco Studio or Locations (additional travel fee outside the city) Fee covers photography, meticulous editing and touch-up work. Prints, wall pieces and digital files are sold separately.
Sessions Include:
- 2-hour shoot for up to two pets (additional animals – $50)
- 25-35 carefully selected and retouched images for review in online gallery (files not included)
- In-home or ZOOM review of images and different display options
Post-Session:
When we meet post-session we’ll review your images together in person or over zoom and determine the best ways to display your favorites based on your style and space. I offer wall art displays of metal prints, canvas wraps or traditional framed prints as well as loose fine-art prints and table-top pieces.
Every item purchased also includes a social-media friendly digital file of that image. Most clients spend between $900-$2500 (some less, some more) after the shoot for prints and wall art. For the digitally-centric I also offer digital bundles to meet your needs.
